Beginning her career as a performer, Claire co-founded Erasmus Theatre in 2004. Based in southern Italy, the company is dedicated to creating theatre in English, Spanish, French and Italian for students of all levels. She has directed over 30 productions for Erasmus Theatre including William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, and Macbeth as well as musical productions such as Fame, Footloose, Grease, Chicago and Happy Days.
In 2013, Claire co-founded The Malachites. Based in Shoreditch, the company's aim was to bring Shakespeare’s plays back to where they were originally performed and to non-theatrical spaces and also to make his work accessible to a wider audience. She has co-directed several shows with The Malachites, including Titus Andronicus and Richard II, both in the stunning setting of St Leonard’s Church in Shoreditch; and King Lear at the Rose Playhouse.
Claire has also worked in the world of immersive theatre with Dank Parish, co-creating an immersive theatrical experience for The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival held in Birmingham.
Claire lives in South London with her husband Nick and rescue dog Nelly.
